How do you feel about losing the thimble as a playing piece in the Monopoly game? If you had to choose 6 playing pieces that you like the best, which ones would make up your Monopoly game board? Do you think it was a good idea that Hasbro opened this up to the internet, and let the people decide?

I feel like its not going be same as use to be. I would pick the Car. I think its a good idea to gave people a opinion on it so he get a good idea what the people like so he can make a monopoly that everyone can play there favorite piece in.
ReplyDeletefeel kinda sad cause that was my favorite one to use. The emoji one and the rest of them as well. yes it was cause the people who play the game should have a say in it too.
ReplyDeleteI personally do not think they should have replaced the game piece. The game should stay original and classic. If I had to pick the 6 playing pieces, I would pick the fuzzy bunny slipper, a rocket, a hot dog, a doughnut, an emoji face, and a cat. However I think it was smart of them to let the internet decide because then you really know what the people want/do not want.
ReplyDeleteHow I feel about the thimble piece o longer being included in the Monopoly game is, I don't really think it makes a difference. I'm not really a fan of Monopoly anyways. But if I had to choose six pieces for my own personal game board they would be, an emoji, hashtag, cell phone, the Nike sign, the Jordan sign, and the Timberland Tree. But I do think it was a neat idea for them to let the public decide what piece should take the thimbles places. Because after all they will be the ones having to use it.
ReplyDeleteOf course it's kind of sad that the thimble is gone because that's all we've known since we were born. But, I think it's a really good idea to keep our games up to date. For example, giving us the choice of a cell phone or hashtag. Maybe the thimble was a big thing when it first came out but it's not anymore. We have to change and adapt around what's going on in the world today. We're just staying up to date and I think it's a good change even though it's just a game.
ReplyDeleteI think that Hasbro should not get rid of the thimble because it is a legendary piece to the game.I think they should keep the game like it is because its been around since 1935.I don't think Hasbro should have opened this up to the Internet because we already know everybody voted for the new pieces.
ReplyDeletei don't care if the thimble is gone because i never used it. the piece i wound like in the game is the t-Rex. i do think is a good idea because it lets the fans pick their favorite pieces.
ReplyDeleteI think it is a good time for a face lift of a game that's over 80 years old. I know its iconic to fans but the game has to evolve someday.It was a good idea to let fans decide what to replace it with instead of taking a shot in the dark. I would pick a modern fancy car, fancy cane, dollar sign, skyscraper, a phone, and a Private jet to all show money and power.
